Chanel Rouge Coco Shine: #68 Candeur

This delightful "off the bat" gift from my boyfriend is non other than the stunning Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in 68 Candeur, which I believe was introduced in the summer 2012 line. The packaging is beautiful lets face it. The brand synonymous with the epitome of chic transcends to their beauty line a treat. I don't think anyone would disagree.

The Chanel Coco Shine formula is beautiful. It feels so creamy and moisturising on the lips. The colour payoff is very sheer though, because as a rouge balm hybrid this merely tints the lips with a light pink gloss and a subtle sparkle as the golden sparkles in the bullet transfers on application. It's quick and easy lipstick to apply on the go and great for holidays and to couple with a no-makeup makeup look or to accompany a dramatic eye.

I love it and will wear it till it's gone, however I don't think i'd repurchase. Just because its lovely but not essential in my beauty stash. This may change time will tell. The Rouge Coco Shine's retail for £24 and you can buy it here LINK. xoxo

Rave Review: L'oreal Mega Volume Collagene 24hr

L'oreal gets a lot of love for its telescopic mascara, I personally don't get on with it but the Mega Volume Collagene mascara? - wow!!! It is the nicest, most voluminous mascara I have ever used and it doesn't smudge. I like my lashes thick and long and beautifying and this does the trick! It ticks all the boxes and I love it and really don't feel the need to buy another mascara ever again. It is one of the most expensive mascara's on the high street retailing for £11.99 but in my humble opinion it is worth the go. If you use this what are your thoughts on it? What are your favourite mascaras? xoxo

London Beauty Haul

Hooray I have just gotten back from London this evening and wanted to blog about my new beauty purchases from Selfridges and Boots.

First up is an Essie polish which I have had my eye on forever but through one reason or other I never got round to buying it... and that is until today. 79 Sand Tropez is a dirty taupy nude and I'm sure will look chic and fabulous. My second polish I bought was Revlon Colourstay's 130 Velvet Rope. I bought Essie's Size Matters recently and was very disappointed to find that it was raspberry toned, so the search continued for the perfect dark 1940's red... until today. Let's hope its as deep and luxurious on the nails as it is in the bottle.

I went a bit Revlon mad and also picked up two lip items which I have had my eye on for a while and that is the infamous matte nude, aptly named 001 nude attitude, and the super sparkly mauve-y pink lipgloss - 004 pink ice. All revlon lip and nail products are being sold for £5 at the moment too.

Then we have the No7 brush bag. It's well made and very good for those of us who can't find a decent brush roll for a decent price anywhere!!! Its wipe clean textured plastic on the outside with a polyester satin fabric on the inside. Finally from Boots I picked up a new eyebrow pencil and Clinique's 01 soft blonde seemed the perfect shade for my eyebrows.

And finally the main event - Illamasqua's Skin base foundation in shade SB 4.5. I got a tester for this last year and used every drop up in record time. I was counting down the days until I could go to london and buy the full sized product and we could be reunited again. It's my favourite foundation of recent times and that's it.

I hope this was interesting for anyone wanting a nosey or interested in whats out there to sample themselves. I'm sure product reviews will be coming up in the coming weeks. Take care xoxo

Essie Leading Lady

Another day another Essie post. Despite my promises that Beyond Cozy was to be my only purchase from Essie's 'Leading Lady' winter collection 2012 - I couldn't get my mind off the 'glittery red' Leading Lady herself. This happended to be my nail vasrnish of choice throughout December. In person it is a deep berry red cream polish with light red flecks running through it. These pictures weretaken in superficial light so really picks up the pinky-purple tones. In person it is definately red red!! I find that the polish need 2 to 3 coats for full opacity. The glitter makes it very gritty on the nails, so a clear topcoat is a must. I find that all glitter polishes are rather rubbish in regards to their longevity and this one is no different. After one day it will have chipped. But as the polish is so very beautiful and chic I'll keep wearing it. xoxo
